Indonesia's Deputy Speaker Sari Yuliati and Finance Minister Purbaya advance fiscal reforms and education budget

Indonesia’s parliament held a plenary session on 14 July 2026 to receive the government’s response to the draft APBN 2025 accountability law, with Deputy Speaker Sari Yuliati receiving documents from Finance Minister Purbaya Sadewa.

Commission VII met with public broadcasters TVRI, RRI and news agency ANTARA to discuss the central government’s financial statements and the upcoming LKPP audit for the 2025 budget.

In a separate forum, Deputy Speaker Yuliati described the new Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law (P2SK) as a “growth engine” aimed at deepening Indonesia’s capital markets, improving financing access and enhancing macro‑stability.

Finance Minister Purbaya reaffirmed that education spending will meet the constitutional minimum of 20 % of both the state and regional budgets, noting a 19.1 % realization in 2025 and targeting higher performance in 2026.

Following a parliamentary delegation’s visit to the United States, expert Trubus Rahardiansyah praised Yuliati’s team for convincing international investors and rating agencies of Indonesia’s sound fiscal policy, boosting confidence in the rupiah and domestic markets.
