Indonesia to face Oman and Mozambique in FIFA Matchday June 2026
The Indonesia national football team will play two FIFA Matchday friendlies in June 2026, hosting Oman on 5 June and Mozambique on 9 June at the Gelora Bung Karno stadium. Coach John Herdman has named a 23‑man squad, keeping goalkeeper Emil Audero as a starter and incorporating several returning players such as Saddil Ramdani, Marselino Ferdinan, Rayhan Hannan and Muhammad Ferarri. New naturalised defender Mathew Baker also received his first senior call‑up.
Defender Calvin Verdonk, a Lille player, was repeatedly reported as uncertain. Initial reports cited a family matter that prevented his participation, then later announced his arrival in Jakarta on 4 June, but his fitness and limited preparation time left his inclusion in the Oman match unresolved. The squad also dealt with injuries and omissions, with several regulars absent and others shifted to the bench.
These matches are intended to fine‑tune the squad ahead of the 2027 Asian Cup and improve Indonesia’s FIFA ranking.
