Indonesia footballer Beckham Putra in fan dispute after 1‑0 win over Mozambique

Indonesia midfielder Beckham Putra was involved in a heated exchange with a supporter at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta after the national team defeated Mozambique 1‑0 on 9 June 2026. The clash occurred when players approached the stands to greet fans; Beckham shouted at an individual fan before teammate Kevin Diks intervened and pulled him away.

PSSI chairman Erick Thohir condemned the incident, stating that any form of bullying, discrimination or racism has no place in Indonesian football and must be dealt with under PSSI statutes and FIFA’s Global Stand Against Racism. He highlighted that similar provocation had been reported after the earlier match against Oman on 5 June, urging protection for national team players wearing the red‑white jersey.
