Indonesia health sector boosts disaster recovery and teen mental‑health education

The Indonesian Ministry of Health partnered with a youth group from North Sumatra to donate medical equipment for post‑disaster health service restoration in eight affected districts of Aceh and North Sumatra. The donation package includes digital tensiometers, anthropometry kits, dry sterilizers, patient beds, adult stethoscopes, fogging devices and dental units, sourced from a charity run that attracted about 2,000 participants.

Separately, the non‑profit Gerakan Aku Sahabatmu and the Jakarta III Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health launched the educational film "Senja di Pelangi". The film addresses issues such as online gender‑based violence, mental‑health challenges, toxic relationships and body‑shaming among Indonesian teens. officials, educators and students attended the launch, and the film will be made freely available to schools nationwide as a tool for discussion and prevention.
