Indonesia hosted the first-ever Asian Gym for Life Challenge 2026 at the Universitas Gadjah Mada Innovation and Creativity Center in Yogyakarta. Organized by the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU) in collaboration with the Indonesian Gymnastics Federation (FGI), the event featured 22 groups from seven participating nations, including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Denmark.

Sri Lanka achieved significant success at the championship, securing Gold Awards for both its National Mixed Team and its National Girls’ Team. The Sri Lankan contingent included 89 young gymnasts. The competition focused on the ‘Gymnastics for All’ philosophy, emphasizing inclusivity, creativity, and group performance regardless of age or background.
