Indonesia's Kemnaker launches National Internship Program and regional job fairs

The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) announced the July 2026 opening of MagangHub Batch 4, a national internship scheme targeting up to 150,000 fresh graduates. The first wave will admit around 50,000 participants, with a budget of Rp 4.14 trillion. Eligible applicants must be Indonesian citizens with a diploma or degree obtained within the past year, and will receive a monthly allowance equivalent to the regional minimum wage, social security and a certificate.

At the same time, several local job fairs were held across Indonesia. Kulon Progo (Yogyakarta) hosted a two‑day fair offering 2,055 vacancies from 26 companies. Jakarta West organized a hybrid fair with 4,262 openings from 47 employers. Jombang ran its “Job Fair Jemput Kerja 2026” to connect thousands of job‑seekers with employers. The BP3MI job fair in Jakarta highlighted strong interest in overseas positions, especially in Japan, where demand for care workers and skilled labor is rising.

These coordinated efforts aim to reduce unemployment, provide practical work experience, and open pathways to both domestic and foreign employment for Indonesia’s youth.
