Indonesia launches 2026 school admission synchronization and teacher recruitment drives

Jakarta's East district government held a coordination meeting for school committees and principals to promote the 2026/2027 Student Admission System (SPMB). Mayor Munjirin emphasised transparent, fair and accountable enrollment procedures and urged committees, schools, parents and officials to provide clear information on admission pathways, quotas and requirements.

The Ministry of Social Affairs announced the opening of a recruitment drive for 3,053 permanent contract (PPPK) teachers for Sekolah Rakyat in 2026. The positions cover a wide range of subjects—from core academic fields to physical education and counseling. Applicants must be Indonesian citizens aged 20‑40, hold a teaching certificate, meet academic and health standards, and be willing to serve nationwide. Registration runs online via the SSCASN portal from 8 – 14 June 2026, followed by administrative and competency assessments through July.
