Indonesia launches Danantara Housing scheme to sell unsold state‑owned homes
Minister of Investment and Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, who also serves as chief executive officer of Danantara, announced that the company is preparing a program called Danantara Housing. The scheme is intended to market houses and apartments built by state‑owned enterprises (BUMN) that have not yet been sold.
Roeslani said the programme will let buyers obtain the properties with more competitive interest rates and easier payment terms, stating, “Ada beberapa pembangunan, baik apartemen maupun rumah, yang selama ini sudah dibangun oleh BUMN tetapi belum bisa terjual. Kita akan mengadakan Danantara Housing.” The first Danantara Housing exhibition is scheduled for 27‑30 August 2026 at the Presidential Complex and will be organized together with property developers and the Himpunan Bank Milik Negara (Himbara).
During the same briefing the minister reported that the government’s streamlining of BUMN assets has already covered about 250 entities by the end of July 2026, with further consolidations planned in banking, finance, logistics, health and hospitality sectors.
Entities: Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) · Badan Usaha Milik Negara (BUMN) · Danantara · Himpunan Bank Milik Negara (Himbara) · Rosan Roeslani
