Indonesia intensifies support for MSME development and entrepreneurship

Various Indonesian institutions and officials are implementing programs to strengthen Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In Pekanbaru, lawmaker Karmila Sari is encouraging MSMEs to innovate based on market trends and utilize BPS data to understand consumer needs, emphasizing the importance of legal certifications like halal and PIRT.

In the private sector, PT Kredit Utama Fintech Indonesia (RupiahCepat) launched the Womenpreneurship Business Bootcamp to support female entrepreneurs with training in digital marketing, financial literacy, and business planning. Meanwhile, PT Pertamina (Persero) is providing tailored assistance to MSMEs, including capital access and market expansion, to support economic growth and job creation.

Additionally, the Ministry of MSMEs and the DBS Foundation are collaborating to strengthen support for female MSME owners.
