Indonesia lowers July 2026 crude palm oil reference price as global demand eases

Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade announced that the reference price (HR) for crude palm oil (CPO) for July 2026 will be US$1,000.90 per metric ton, a decline of US$28.61 (2.78%) from the June level of US$1,029.51. Director General of Foreign Trade Tommy Andana said the drop reflects weaker global demand, notably from India, and lower world crude oil prices.

The price calculation used the median of the Indonesia and Malaysia palm oil bourses, as the spread among the three sources (Indonesia, Malaysia, Rotterdam) exceeded the US$40 threshold set by regulation. The outbound duty (BK) for CPO is set at US$148 per ton, and the export service fee (PE) at 12.5% of the reference price, equal to US$125.11 per ton. Additionally, a tariff of US$33 per ton applies to refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) palm olein packaged in containers up to 25 kg.

These adjustments are part of the government’s broader effort to align export tariffs and service fees with current market conditions across several agricultural and forestry commodities.
