Indonesia marks National Children’s Day with events in Aceh and Magelang

Hundreds of children with special needs from the State Special School (SLBN) in Aceh Tamiang celebrated National Children’s Day (HAN) 2026 alongside Pertamina EP Rantau Field. Field Manager Tomi Wahyu Alimsyah greeted the children in sign language and highlighted the company’s community‑development program that supports inclusive education, safe environments, and teacher capacity building. The event featured exercises, art contests, talent shows and a moving performance by a visually‑impaired student.

In Central Java’s Magelang, the city hosted the Bungah Bingah Festival at GOR Samapta, organized by the local Department of Community Empowerment, Women, Child Protection and Family Planning. Mayor Damar Prasetyono pledged to create a safe, inclusive, child‑friendly city and encouraged children to voice their ideas for regional development. The festival offered creative workshops, performances and platforms for children to express their aspirations as part of the broader HAN celebrations.
