Indonesia and India explore strategic industrial cooperation

Indonesia and India are exploring strategic industrial cooperation following a meeting between Indonesian Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza and Indian Minister of State for Industry and Commerce Jitin Prasada in Jaipur. The discussions, held during the 10th BRICS Industry Ministers' Meeting, focused on semiconductors, green industries, electric vehicles, and digital transformation.

Both nations aim to leverage their large domestic markets and manufacturing bases to support Indo-Pacific supply chains. This bilateral engagement follows Indonesia's full membership in BRICS and seeks to address a decline in non-oil and gas manufactured exports from Indonesia to India. In 2025, trade between the two countries reached USD 23.16 billion.

Separately, J&T Cargo has marked five years of operations in Indonesia, expanding its partnership network to over 4,500 partners. The logistics company is introducing new services such as InstallTrack for electronic and furniture installation, and expanding its Reverse TikTok service across eight areas in Java to support digital commerce.
