Indonesia MSMEs receive financial support through BNI loans and Baznas microfinance
Various financial support initiatives are targeting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) has opened the 2026 People's Business Credit (KUR) program, offering loans of up to Rp100 million with flexible tenors ranging from 1 to 5 years. The program features an effective annual interest rate of 6 percent, intended to provide accessible working capital and investment funding for MSME owners.
In a separate development, the Baznas Microfinance Desa (BMD) program is providing capital and training to local entrepreneurs. In Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, a micro-entrepreneur running a chicken noodle business reported reaching a monthly turnover of Rp18 million following a Rp3 million capital injection and business mentoring from the program. The BMD initiative aims to utilize zakat funds to foster economic independence among recipients.
