Indonesia national football team defeats Oman 2-0 in FIFA Matchday
Indonesia's senior football side secured a 2‑0 victory over Oman at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta during the FIFA Matchday in early June 2026. Goals came from Justin Hubner in the 13th minute and Ole Romeny in the 27th, while goalkeeper Emil Audero saved a penalty attempt.
Oman’s coach Tarik Sektioui praised Indonesia’s quality, stating that the team’s FIFA ranking does not reflect its true strength. He said, “Timnas Indonesia jauh lebih baik dibandingkan yang tergambar dari posisi mereka di ranking FIFA,” highlighting the rapid development of the Garuda squad.
