Jawa Tengah Police Agree to Cooperate with Prosecutors on SPPG Checks

The Regional Police of Central Java (Polda Jateng) announced that officers managing the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) will remain cooperative with any summons from the prosecutor’s office, provided they are accompanied by officials from the police legal division (Bidkum) and the internal affairs unit (Propam). Public Relations Head Kombes Artanto stressed that the requirement is an administrative reminder, not a prohibition, and that any inspection should be conducted at the local police station with proper oversight.

The regional prosecutor’s office (Kejati Jawa Tengah) later clarified that it is not conducting raids, searches, or arrests of SPPG managers. Instead, it is only gathering data and statements directly at SPPG sites as part of the free nutritious meal (MBG) program, which the police help operate at roughly 1,376 locations nationwide. The prosecutor’s office affirmed that no police personnel have been summoned for investigation.

Both agencies emphasized adherence to legal procedures and the importance of maintaining the MBG program’s delivery to beneficiaries.
