Indonesia President Prabowo orders dismissal and prosecution of corrupt officials

President Prabowo Subianto warned that law‑enforcement officers who aid illegal activities must be removed and criminally prosecuted. He pledged to use advanced technology to locate hidden assets, underground weapon caches and other violations.

Vice‑Chair of Commission III of the DPR, Ahmad Sahroni, said his committee fully backs the president’s stance, urging swift dismissal and legal action against any officials who “play a role in crime.” Sahroni added that no rank or influence will shield violators under the new leadership.

The statements were made during the President’s macro‑economic policy speech on 20 May 2026 and reiterated by Sahroni on 21 May 2026, signalling a coordinated political push against corruption within Indonesia’s security apparatus.
