Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto Plans Cabinet Reshuffle to Strengthen Stability

Political communications expert Syurya Muhammad Nur of Universitas Esa Unggul Jakarta predicts that President Prabowo Subianto will soon undertake a major reshuffle of his Red‑White Cabinet. The reshuffle is framed as a corrective step to improve the effectiveness of the government, accelerate priority programmes, and preserve economic stability and public trust.

Nur stresses that the president needs ministers who combine technical expertise with strong public‑communication skills. “Reshuffle bukan sekadar hukuman politik, melainkan langkah korektif agar mesin pemerintahan berjalan selaras dengan agenda strategis Presiden,” he said. Ministries likely to be scrutinised include Tourism, led by Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, and the ATR/BPN ministry headed by Nusron Wahid, among others. The aim is to build a solid, responsive team that can deliver on national development goals while communicating clearly with citizens in the digital era.
