Indonesia President Prabowo’s 2027 Macro‑Fiscal Plan Receives Parliamentary Backing

President Prabowo Subianto presented the 2027 Macro‑Economic Framework and Fiscal Policy (KEM‑PPKF) to the Indonesian DPR, outlining targets of 5.8‑6.5 % GDP growth, 1.5‑3.5 % inflation, a Rupiah exchange rate of Rp16,800‑17,500 per US$, and 10‑year SBN yields of 6.5‑7.3 %.

Commission XI chair Mukhamad Misbakhun praised the plan’s blend of optimism and caution, urging that higher growth targets be matched by real‑sector strengthening, job creation and fiscal discipline amid global energy price volatility (oil priced at US$70‑95 per barrel).

Commission XII vice‑chair Putri Zulkifli Hasan echoed support, stressing that natural‑resource management, downstream industrialisation and renewable‑energy development must translate the framework into tangible benefits for the Indonesian people.
