Indonesia probes corruption in Free Nutritious Meal program

The Indonesian Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) is continuing its investigation into alleged corruption regarding the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program for the 2025–2026 period.

On August 31, 2026, investigators questioned seven witnesses, including experts and officials from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). On September 1, 2026, five additional witnesses were examined, including three civil servants (ASN) from the BGN and representatives from a foundation. These examinations aim to strengthen evidence and complete the case files.

To date, the Attorney General's Office has named seven suspects in the case. These include former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, former Deputy Heads Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya, as well as several private sector individuals and officials.
