Indonesia Prosecutors Audit All BGN Procurement Amid MBG Corruption Probe

Jaksa Agung Muda Bidang Tindak Pidana Khusus (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah announced that prosecutors are reviewing every procurement carried out by the Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) for the free school‑meal (MBG) program covering 2025‑2026. The audit, conducted in cooperation with the Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP), aims to verify the legality and fairness of contracts and to ensure that the program delivers nutritious food to children as intended.

The investigation follows allegations of corrupt practices involving former BGN leaders—former head Dadan Hindayana, former deputy heads Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, associate Asep Yusuf Somantri, and PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal commissioner Andri Mulyono. Authorities suspect irregularities in the procurement of items such as electric motorcycles, shoes, tablets and televisions. Febrie emphasized, “Semua pengadaan lagi kami teliti,” underscoring the comprehensive nature of the probe.

The prosecutor’s office briefed members of the DPR’s Commission III, stressing that the audit serves both legal scrutiny and the broader goal of securing economic benefits for local vendors linked to the MBG program.
