Indonesia passes 2027 State Budget of Rp4,106 trillion
The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) has officially passed the 2027 State Budget (APBN) Law. The budget sets state expenditure at Rp4,106.26 trillion against a projected revenue of Rp3,435.1 trillion, resulting in a budget deficit of Rp671.16 trillion, or 2.4 percent of GDP.
Key economic targets for 2027 include a 6 percent economic growth rate, an inflation rate of 2.5 percent, and a rupiah exchange rate of approximately Rp17,500 per US dollar. The budget also includes a reduction in energy subsidies to Rp261.5 trillion, down from the previous plan of Rp272.9 trillion, primarily due to improved data targeting for fuel and LPG recipients.
Significant allocations include Rp824 trillion for education and Rp539.7 trillion for social protection. Additionally, the government will provide an extra Rp20 trillion to BPJS Kesehatan in October and November 2026 to bolster the National Health Insurance (JKN) financial stability.
