Indonesia readies Bali fuel terminal and trucks for biodiesel B50 amid tourism demand

Pertamina’s Sanggaran fuel terminal and the airport fuel station at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali have been confirmed ready to distribute petroleum products, ensuring a reliable supply for residents and tourists. Pertamina Patra Niaga commissioner Sabar Yudo Suroso said the facility’s operational readiness is essential for maintaining the energy chain from receipt to delivery.

Mitsubishi Fuso commercial trucks have also passed extensive road‑testing with a 50 % palm‑oil‑based biodiesel blend (B50). Distributor PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors director Aji Jaya reported that the Canter models completed up to 40,000 km of testing without performance loss and urged owners to conduct regular maintenance. Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources supports the B50 rollout as a strategic move to strengthen national energy security and reduce reliance on fossil fuels, making the country the first to implement such a high‑level biodiesel mix in transport.
