Indonesia recovers over Rp1 trillion in assets, hands to finance ministry

On 15 June 2026, Indonesia’s Attorney General ST Burhanuddin formally delivered recovered state assets worth Rp 1.029 trillion to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. The handover, conducted at the Badan Pemulihan Aset (BPA) Fair 2026 in Jakarta, combined proceeds from asset auctions (Rp 978 billion), recovered land and buildings (about Rp 30.9 billion), and cash seized from the Eddy Tansil corruption case (Rp 51.6 billion). An additional Rp 19.1 billion was transferred to victims of the case.

The Attorney General’s office highlighted that the recovered funds bolster the national fiscal foundation, enabling better public service delivery and development programmes. The Finance Ministry confirmed the assets will be managed transparently under good governance principles.
