Indonesia relief efforts mobilize for Nusa Tenggara Timur earthquake victims

Various groups in Indonesia are mobilizing humanitarian aid to assist victims of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timur, which caused significant damage to homes and schools.

The KSPN Nikomas Gemilang labor union organized a fundraising drive at PT Nikomas Gemilang, collecting Rp21,440,000 over two days. The funds are intended for distribution through relevant government agencies to support those facing economic difficulties due to the disaster.

In Yogyakarta, the group Musisi Jogja Peduli raised Rp812 million through a charity concert held on September 1, 2026. On September 10, three trucks of aid were symbolically dispatched from Bantul to the Reo district in NTT, an area reported to be among the most severely impacted by the earthquake.
