Indonesia reports 2026 regional fiscal transfers and trade surplus for Bali and South Kalimantan
The Indonesian Ministry of Finance allocated Rp4.85 trillion in transfer funds to Bali for the January‑May 2026 period, representing a 1.06 % contraction from the same period in 2025 and accounting for 48.86 % of the province's total budget. The allocation includes Rp3.37 trillion in general allocation block grant, Rp58.98 billion in revenue sharing, and smaller amounts for physical and non‑physical development funds and village budgets.
In South Kalimantan, the regional treasury office reported an international trade surplus of about Rp16.48 trillion through May 2026, driven mainly by coal exports, which contributed over half of total exports. Exports rose 7.7 % to roughly Rp19.81 trillion, while imports grew 16.1 % to about Rp3.33 trillion, led by petroleum products. The province also posted a fiscal surplus of Rp984.86 billion and a regional economy growth of 5.67 % year‑on‑year in the first quarter of 2026.
