Indonesia reports SPMB 2026 school enrollment results and evaluation
The South Kalimantan Education and Culture Office, led by Abdul Rahim, said the 2026 Student Admission System (SPMB) proceeded according to schedule. An early technical glitch in the application was quickly resolved, and the agency praised cooperation among committees, school operators and other parties. The office will evaluate the process, test the application beforehand for future cycles, and is awaiting reports from all districts to ensure no area lacks capacity.
In Pekanbaru, the city’s Education Department announced that out of 12,861 public elementary school seats, 9,750 students applied, leaving 3,350 seats vacant across 108 schools in 17 districts. The enrollment was conducted openly, transparently and free of charge. Officials warned families to avoid scams and urged unregistered students to apply for the remaining slots.
