Indonesia rolls out rice and sugar aid programs in 2026
Perum Bulog’s Rejang Lebong branch is preparing to distribute rice assistance to three regencies for July, August and September 2026, with the first delivery slated for 17 August 2026 to coincide with Indonesia’s Independence Day. The agency has received a directive from the National Food Agency but is still awaiting detailed guidance from the central government on distribution mechanisms and timing.
PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara (SGN) MKSO Kebun Dhoho is handing over 2.5 tonnes of sugar to each of 17 villages in the districts of Wates, Plosoklaten and Ngancar in Kediri, East Java. The aid, part of a 25‑year partnership with local authorities, is distributed through village governments and is intended for the 2025 allocation year. The program aims to strengthen the company’s relationship with surrounding communities while providing essential food items to residents.
