Indonesia Sets Rp15,000 per Liter Fuel Price for 30‑200 GT Fishing Vessels

President Prabowo Subianto directed that diesel (solar) for commercial fishing operators with vessels between 30 and 200 gross tons be sold at a special price of Rp15,000 per liter. The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto announced the policy, noting that the previous non‑subsidised price was about Rp21,300 per liter. A subsidy of roughly Rp3,600 per liter will be provided by the Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP), covering a quota of 400,000 tons for six months. Small‑scale fishers with boats under 30 GT will continue to receive the existing subsidised rate of Rp6,800 per liter. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will issue a regulation to implement the price, aiming to lower operating costs and boost productivity in the fisheries sector.
