Indonesia Stock Exchange targets new IPOs from SEZs and Danantara
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) is targeting companies within Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and business groups under Danantara as potential new issuers for 2027. BEI President Director Jeffrey Hendrik stated that manufacturing sectors in these zones require long-term funding for production capacity expansion, making the capital market a necessary alternative to bank loans.
Additionally, BEI is evaluating the effectiveness of tax incentives to encourage more companies to go public. The exchange is conducting a study with PT Dimensi Internasional Tax to assess current facilities, such as the 3% corporate income tax reduction for qualifying companies.
To support this growth, BEI is implementing several strategic pillars, including collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs to expand capital market access and working with PT Surveyor Indonesia to improve financial information quality. The exchange has also launched the National Go Public Academy for Small and Medium Enterprises to strengthen business fundamentals and governance.
