Indonesia boosts holiday tourism with ticket promos and zoo events
During the June‑July 2026 school break, several Indonesian attractions launched special offers to draw visitors. In partnership with travel platforms, InJourney Destination Management introduced discounted and "buy‑one‑get‑one‑free" tickets for the Borobudur and Prambanan temples and the Keraton Ratu Boko complex, with extra price cuts for the popular Borobudur‑climbing experience. The promotions run through early July and include limited‑quota sunset packages.
At the same time, Surabaya Zoo opened its doors for an extended "Back To Zoo" programme. Running from 20 June to 12 July, the event features traditional Reog and Jaranan performances, live music, animal‑themed storytelling and games. Organisers reported daily attendance rising to around 6 000 visitors, with peaks of 11 000 on weekends, and aim to reach 300 000 guests before the holiday period ends.
