Indonesia targets $83 billion in food and beverage exports by 2029
Indonesia's Ministry of Industry is targeting food and beverage exports to reach $83.08 billion by 2029, representing an average annual growth rate of 10.9 percent. Deputy Minister Faisol Riza stated that the nation aims to strengthen its position as a global hub for food production, innovation, and investment.
To achieve this, the government plans to accelerate downstreaming based on local natural resources, increase raw material value, strengthen quality standards, and expand market penetration into 20 new export destinations across America, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.
According to 2025 Manufacturing Value Added (MVA) data from the World Bank, Indonesia's manufacturing value added reached $275.61 billion, ranking 12th globally and highest in Southeast Asia.
