Indonesia targets Rp5 trillion KUR distribution in South Kalimantan
The Indonesian Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Helvi Moraza, has expressed the goal of reaching Rp5 trillion in People's Business Credit (KUR) distribution in South Kalimantan by the end of 2026. As of October 2026, the province has recorded Rp3.8 trillion in distribution across 61,251 debtors.
In Banjarmasin specifically, KUR recipients total 7,063 debtors with a total value exceeding Rp600 billion. The Deputy Minister noted that the number of MSMEs in South Kalimantan grew by approximately 8,000 compared to the previous year, reaching over 518,000 entities by the end of 2025.
Additionally, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is offering KUR programs for MSMEs with interest rates of 6 percent effective per year, or approximately 0.5 percent per month. The program provides flexible tenors ranging from 12 to 60 months to support working capital and productive investment.
