Indonesia to host FIA Rallycross World Cup 2026 to boost creative economy
Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy is promoting the FIA Rallycross World Cup 2026, scheduled for December 5–6 in Jakarta, as a strategic driver for the national creative and automotive industries. Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the international sportainment event aims to strengthen the creative ecosystem and promote local products, particularly the automotive modification subsector, which is included in the Creative Economy Master Plan 2026–2045.
The event is expected to involve 21 different creative economy subsectors, including fashion, culinary arts, digital content, broadcasting, photography, videography, and visual communication design. Organizers aim to attract over 25,000 spectators and leverage local intellectual property to expand the event's reach beyond automotive enthusiasts to a broader global audience.
