Indonesia Trade Minister urges automotive sector to maximize trade deals

Indonesian Minister of Trade Budi Santoso met with representatives from PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) to discuss maximizing the use of trade agreements to boost automotive exports.

Santoso emphasized that existing trade agreements serve as vital tools for expanding market access and increasing the global competitiveness of Indonesian products. A key focus of the government's efforts is the completion of a trade cooperation agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which is targeted for conclusion by November this year. This agreement is expected to strengthen market access for Indonesian products within the Gulf region.
