Indonesia trains Rohis youth as digital Islamic economic ambassadors

The Ministry of Religion of Indonesia and Bank Indonesia held a Training of Trainers (ToT) Youth Content Creator Rohis program in Badung, Bali from 23 – 25 June 2026. The initiative, coordinated by the Directorate of Islamic Education and the Department of Economic and Sharia Finance, brought together Rohis leaders from senior high schools and vocational schools across 34 provinces.

Participants received training in leadership, digital literacy, Islamic economics and finance, and skills for creating educational social‑media content. Director of Islamic Education M. Munir emphasized that Rohis members must become "agents of change, development and control," able to manage online information and produce moderate, inclusive Islamic messages.

The program aims to build a generation of Rohis who can spread Islamic values digitally, strengthen inter‑regional networks, and support the country’s broader goals of financial inclusion and digital transformation.
