Indonesian Air Force performs flypast for 81st Independence Day
The Indonesian Air Force conducted a major aerial flypast over Jakarta to commemorate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The event featured the debut mission of the military's newest assets, including four Dassault Rafale fighter jets and two Airbus A400M Atlas transport aircraft.
During the demonstration, Rafale pilots performed 'High-G Turn' maneuvers, with gravitational forces reaching between 7G and over 9G. The aircraft flew in formations designated as 'Panther Flight', 'Macan Flight', and 'Atlas Flight'. The Jupiter Aerobatic Team (JAT) also performed formation flights over the capital.
The ceremony was attended at the Istana Merdeka by President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and the 7th President, Joko Widodo. This year's independence celebrations were held under the theme 'Indonesia Berdaulat, Adil, dan Makmur' (Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia).
