Indonesian Independence Day aerial celebrations

Overview

Indonesia held several aerial demonstrations in Jakarta to commemorate its 81st Independence Day. The celebrations included a major flypast featuring the debut of new military assets, such as four Dassault Rafale fighter jets and two Airbus A400M Atlas transport aircraft. During these maneuvers, Rafale pilots performed ‘High-G Turn’ maneuvers reaching between 7G and over 9G.

Subsequent aerial activities included F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter jets performing training exercises over the National Monument area. These flights, which departed from Iswahjudi Air Force Base, were part of preparations for the Merdeka Run festivities. Other scheduled demonstrations involved CN-295 aircraft carrying paratroopers and EC-725 Caracal helicopters transporting a large flag.
