Indonesian authorities launch export support for Palu MSMEs

The Indonesian Quarantine Authority (Barantin) and the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are collaborating to assist local businesses in Palu, Central Sulawesi, with expanding into international markets. During the 48th anniversary of Palu, Barantin introduced an ‘Export Clinic’ to provide consultation and guidance to MSMEs.

The clinic aims to help entrepreneurs navigate quarantine requirements, commodity inspections, certification, and the technical standards of destination countries. Key regional commodities identified for export potential include bird's nests, fish, cocoa, and cloves.

The Ministry of MSMEs plans to formalize this cooperation through a memorandum of understanding. To further support business growth, the ministry highlighted the SAPA UMKM digital platform, which serves as a single gateway for services such as business verification, financing, and certification, integrating various government services to help MSMEs compete globally.
