Indonesian authorities seize narcotics and illegal cigarettes in separate raids

Indonesian authorities have conducted separate enforcement operations targeting narcotics and illegal goods. In Bantaeng, South Sulawesi, the Bantaeng Police Narcotics Investigation Unit arrested a suspect, identified as NH, in the Pajjukang district. During the raid, officers seized 16.15 grams of crystal methamphetamine (sabu) packaged in various plastic sachets, along with cash, mobile phones, and other supporting evidence.

In Bantul, Yogyakarta, Satpol PP officials and Yogyakarta Customs conducted a joint operation in the Sanden district to combat illegal excise goods. The raid resulted in the seizure of 2,704 sticks of illegal cigarettes, including machine-made clove and white cigarettes, from two local shops. Authorities have applied administrative sanctions and provided education to local merchants regarding the legal consequences of selling untaxed products.
