Indonesian aviation firms expand maintenance services via Honeywell and Oman deal
Indonesian aviation entities are expanding their maintenance and service capabilities through new international and domestic agreements.
Honeywell Aerospace has entered a three-year agreement with PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) to provide repair and maintenance services for several auxiliary power unit (APU) models across the airline’s fleet. The partnership aims to provide Garuda Indonesia with greater repair-cost predictability and improved maintenance planning to ensure aircraft reliability.
Separately, GMF AeroAsia, a member of the Garuda Indonesia Group, has signed a 20-year concession to develop aircraft maintenance operations at Muscat International Airport in Oman. Under this agreement, GMF will operate and manage maintenance facilities to serve regional and international airlines. The partnership is intended to support heavy maintenance and periodic inspections while facilitating technical knowledge transfer and creating specialized employment opportunities within Oman’s aviation sector.
