Indonesian Cities Launch UMKM Fairs to Upgrade Local Small Businesses
The Madiun municipal government organized the Cipta Kreasi Jajan Khas competition, involving 54 teams from local UMKM and community groups. The event, held to celebrate the city's 108th anniversary, aimed to improve skills, standardise products for tourism, and provide patents and targeted training for winners such as the King Peanut Madiun snack.
In East Kalimantan, the provincial tourism department hosted the UMKM Weekend Kreatif Fair 2026 at the Temindung Creative Hub in Samarinda from 26‑28 June. Over dozens of micro, small and medium enterprises and creative‑industry participants showcased products, with officials highlighting the fair’s role in expanding market access, strengthening the creative‑economy ecosystem, and linking to the Jospol entrepreneurship programme that supports training, equipment, intellectual‑property assistance and strategic partnerships.
