Indonesian climbers head to Slovenia for World Climbing Series

The Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (FPTI) has dispatched two athletes to compete in the World Climbing Series in Koper, Slovenia, scheduled for September 4-5. This move serves as a strategic trial to prepare the national squad for the 2026 Asian Games.

The participating athletes are Putra Tri Ramadani, competing in the men's individual lead category, and Alma Ariella Tsany, competing in the women's individual lead category. Team manager Aries Susanti Rahayu noted that the Koper series focuses exclusively on the lead discipline. Participation is intended to test physical and mental readiness under high-pressure competition and to improve the athletes' global rankings to secure quotas for future seasons.

Putra Tri Ramadani, currently ranked fifth in the world, aims for a podium finish to break into the top three. Alma Ariella Tsany, currently ranked 32nd, will focus on gaining competitive experience and improving her world standing.
