Indonesian Gen Z and Millennials show rising holistic health awareness

According to the Asia Pacific Wellness Culture Survey 2026 released by Herbalife Indonesia, Gen Z and Millennials in Indonesia are increasingly prioritizing holistic health. The survey indicates that 72 percent of Gen Z and 79 percent of Millennials report engaging in health and fitness activities more frequently than they did three years ago, surpassing the national average of 71 percent.

Oktrianto Wahyu Jatmiko, Director and General Manager of Herbalife Indonesia, noted a rise in popularity for activities such as running, padel, pickleball, gym workouts, pilates, futsal, and hiking. This trend reflects a shift toward viewing wellness through physical, mental, emotional, and social lenses.

Among Gen Z respondents, key areas for improvement include sleep quality (52 percent), nutrition and diet (50 percent), mental health and stress management (49 percent), and emotional well-being (36 percent). Additionally, 74 percent of Gen Z respondents identified mental health as an area requiring further support.
