Indonesian government submits Presidential Letters for BI and OJK leadership

The Indonesian government has submitted three Presidential Letters (Surpres) to the House of Representatives (DPR RI) to fill key leadership positions in the financial sector and diplomatic corps. These submissions include candidates for the definitive Governor of Bank Indonesia, replacements for the Senior Deputy Governor and Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, and candidates for Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Additionally, the government has proposed several candidates for Indonesian ambassadors to various friendly nations.

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that the submissions were made following coordination with DPR leadership, including Speaker Puan Maharani and Deputy Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad. The candidates will undergo the standard parliamentary discussion and approval process.

Addressing rumors regarding a potential cabinet reshuffle, Prasetyo Hadi stated that there are currently no plans to change the members of the Red and White Cabinet. He clarified that the government is prioritizing the filling of existing vacancies in specific roles rather than a broad restructuring of the cabinet.
