Indonesian Hajj Officials Advise Pilgrims on Discipline and Post‑Hajj Reconciliation Traditions

Saudi‑based Hajj organizers in Indonesia reminded returning pilgrims to keep religious discipline, especially the five daily prayers. Anis Dyah Puspita said, “Yang belum terbiasa salat lima waktu, belum terjaga, setidaknya kita jaga… syukur bisa berjamaah,” emphasizing that the habits formed in the holy sites should guide daily life back home.

She also explained that the post‑Hajj tasyakuran and halal‑bihalal gatherings are not new religious rites but cultural practices for gratitude and reconciliation. “Halal bihalal Syawal pun sebenarnya enggak ada aturannya… tapi ini merupakan kebudayaan atau kearifan lokal bangsa Indonesia,” she told the media. The events provide an opportunity for pilgrims to settle interpersonal issues, as she noted, “Salah satu bagaimana Allah nanti bisa menjadikan haji kita mabrur… harus dimaafkan dulu oleh manusia.”
