Indonesian immigration offices expand passport service accessibility

Immigration offices in Indonesia are implementing new initiatives to improve public access to passport services. In Pasuruan, the Class III Non-TPI Immigration Office launched the ‘Pasporia’ program at the Poncol Public Service Mall (MPP). Held during Car Free Day events, the initiative aims to provide easier access for the working class by offering weekend services and direct consultations regarding passport requirements.

In a separate development, the Class I Non-TPI Pati Immigration Office has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) for the Jepara, Pati, and Kudus regions. This partnership is designed to streamline the passport issuance process for prospective Hajj pilgrims for the 2027 season. The collaboration focuses on creating an integrated, fast, and transparent service to ensure pilgrims can prepare their travel documents efficiently.
