Indonesian internationals Romeny and Hubner play for Fortuna Sittard in friendly loss to Olympiacos

Two Indonesian national team players, forward Ole Romeny and defender Justin Hubner, featured for Dutch Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard in a pre‑season friendly against Greek club Olympiacos at the CWO Complex in Vlaardingen, Netherlands on 18 July 2026.

Romeny started as a left winger but was substituted after 45 minutes; he delivered a dangerous cross that nearly resulted in a goal for teammate Lequincio Zeefuik. Hubner completed the full 90 minutes at left‑back, but the defence could not stop Olympiacos, who secured a 3‑1 victory thanks to a hat‑trick from Ferreira da Silva. Fortuna’s lone goal came from Yassin Oukili.

Following the match, Fortuna Sittard is scheduled to face French Ligue 2 side Metz in Forbach, France, as part of the same pre‑season programme.
