Indonesian Journalists Association installs new regional boards in Bintan and Semarang

New leadership boards for the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) in Bintan and Semarang Regency have been officially inaugurated for the 2026–2029 term.

In Bintan, Harjo Waluyo was appointed as the new chairman. During the inauguration, PWI Riau Islands Chairman Saibansah Dardani emphasized the necessity of adhering to the organization's articles of association, the Journalistic Code of Ethics, and the Journalist Code of Conduct. Harjo Waluyo called for collective work and member involvement to strengthen the organization.

In Semarang Regency, the new board was inaugurated at the Semarang Regent's Pendopo. Setiawan Hendra Kelana, Chairman of PWI Central Java, urged the new members to maintain professionalism, integrity, and independence, particularly amidst the evolution of digital media. He advised journalists to remain critical yet constructive, offering solutions rather than mere criticism, while maintaining strategic partnerships with various stakeholders.
