Indonesian local governments issue new contracts for part-time PPPK workers

Local governments in Kampar and Mojokerto have processed contract extensions for part-time Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) employees.

In Kampar, the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) confirmed that salaries for part-time PPPK workers would be paid on October 26, 2026. The delay from the usual 21st of the month was attributed to administrative verification and the process of extending Decree (SK) documents for over 2,000 employees. Officials noted that some contracts were not renewed due to resignations, retirements, or failure to perform duties.

In Mojokerto, Mayor Ika Puspitasari oversaw the distribution of new one-year contract decrees to 1,104 part-time PPPK workers. The number of recipients decreased from 1,119 following retirements, resignations, and disciplinary violations. The Mayor emphasized that the contract extensions serve as a commitment to support the city's 2025–2029 development goals and urged employees to maintain discipline and integrity.
