Indonesian police provide water relief to drought-affected regions
Indonesian police departments in Purwakarta and Sumenep have launched humanitarian initiatives to assist residents struggling with water shortages caused by a prolonged dry season.
In Purwakarta, the Satlantas Polres Purwakarta distributed water storage tanks to residents in Citalang Village to help manage limited clean water supplies. This social action was part of the 71st Bhayangkara Traffic Day commemorations, aimed at strengthening the relationship between the police and the community.
In Sumenep, Polresta Sumenep deployed two water tankers to deliver 12,000 liters of clean water to remote areas in Batuputih District. The distribution targeted at least 40 families in Marang Hamlet who have faced severe shortages due to shrinking natural springs.
